Wolves analysis: Plenty of positives
Wolves may be heading to the Championship at this rate but they can take plenty of positives from this display against Liverpool. Just as in defeat at Arsenal two weeks ago, they made their hosts work hard for the three points and the way their season has gone, that alone is a good sign.
Liverpool have a fairly kind run of fixtures before they journey to Arsenal on Jan. 8, with a visit from Leeds United on New Year’s Day following the clash with Wolves. The Reds then travel to Fulham three days later, before their battle with the Gunners.
But Wolves pulled a goal back a few minutes into the second half, which made the remainder of the game more nervy than it should have been. Substitute Conor Bradley made a superb block in the closing stages to prevent a Jhon Arias equaliser as Slot’s team continue to look susceptible at the back.
