Google Maps is getting a big AI update that brings the Gemini-powered Ask Maps feature. It also gets a new Immersive navigation.

Google today added Gemini AI to Google Maps, enabling a new Ask Maps feature. Gemini in maps can answer complex, real-world questions that Google says "a map could never answer before".

Immersive Navigation, meanwhile, will show the buildings and landmarks around you in 3D. Google calls it the biggest Maps update in over a decade.
