Have a photographed the Bittern Lake Ranch House, too many times to count. Here is the story of the house. The land that the house sits on was surveyed in 1893. The Bittern Lake Ranch House was built in 1897 by English aristocrat William Anthony Stoughton. William was born in 1861. His cousin James Mansfield accompanied him from England. By 1915, the ranch encompassed almost 3,000 acres of land, 500 head of cattle and 80 horses. Stoughton was a real English aristocrat. Always wore a tweed coat,
