Quartet KAIRI has won Third Prize at the Banff International String Quartet Competition Here, they perform Shostakovich’s String Quartet in C Minor, Op. 110 Comprising violinists Taiga Sasaki and Yu Mita, violist Jiliang Shi, and cellist Hotaka Sakai, KAIRI will receive an $8,000 CAD cash prize and a creative residency at Banff Centre including coaching and mentorship opportunities.
