So once in awhile you run into an issue where the wall bumps out a little bit and you got to decide whether you want to scribe out your countertop or if you want to fix the wall or you can do what I'm doing here and cut into the wall so you can slide your butcher block countertop into the framing. So that way you don't have to worry about scribing it out. In some instances where you might have plaster you're going to want to avoid doing this cuz it's going to make a mess. Scribing a countertop to the wall. Set the scribe to the largest point of the of the gap, and mark your line. From there I cut off the bulk of the waste, and belt sand to my line.
