🇨🇳China Commissions Its Largest Aircraft Carrier The "Fujian" has become the third and most modern ship in the PLA Navy fleet. It was entirely built in China and named after the province located across the strait from Taiwan, whose territory Beijing claims. A feature of the "Fujian" is its two electromagnetic catapults, which allow for the launch of heavier aircraft than usual. Until now, only one ship has been equipped with such catapults — the American aircraft carrier "USS Gerald Ford." The
